Week 43

Week 43

A couple of Passive weeks getting the new medication organized. Then finally they were order two weeks ago and we started takin them last week. So far, I have been tolerating the new meds well a minor increase in nausea and periodically getting sick but all in all not a bad reaction we start the second dose this week. This treatment is all oral 14 Straight days of Chemo 14 off) which makes it nice to not have to go to the hospital all the time.

And update on the left foot drop, as mentioned before the custom brace has been wonderful, we have had to get new shoes to accommodate the brace they will come next week. I spent the last par of this running week test with Neurology. The result from that was yes there is significant nerve damage in the left leg this was confirmed by an EMG (Electromyography) test. The question now is where or what is causing it none of the MRIs have shown an result as to where it is coming from, we will now proceed to doing a series of Spinal Taps to test for Cancer migration to the nerves, If this is unconclusive we have to probably relate it to side effect of the chemotherapy having an attack the nerves for one reason or another I keep you posted.

Cheers Brian
